my life in bags

it seems like these days i live my life by which bags i have. what ever do i mean? well i noticed the obvious when i saw these lined up by our couch:

diaper bag, breast pump bag, laptop bag, and purse

the purse is for those rare occasions i'm out of the house w/o the wee one
the pump, purse, and laptop go with me to work
the diaper bag goes with me anytime i'm with Nik

these days i sort of feel like i am constantly switching between them all and constantly trying to track down these items:
-power cord
-wallet
-clean bottles, ice pack, etc.
-burp clothes
-water bottles
-chapstick!!

what's next in my world of bags.......the church bag!

This post makes me laugh because it is my reality. I have a bag fetish, so it hits pretty close to home. I often find myself looking longingly at my beautiful totes stored tidily on a hook in my closet. I miss these old friends, but they just don't have the space/aren't sturdy enough to deal with the constant wear and tear of my tinies...sigh. One day (too soon) I will get to use them again.

I know what you mean (and I don't even have a work bag and breast pump bag right now) it's a juggling act getting the important stuff from bag to bag. I have these bags I'm shuffling around; church bag, giant everyday bag, swimming lesson bag and Young Women's bag(I teach the beehives so I carry my papers in there).
But isn't it symbolic of our lives?! We are constantly balancing and shuffling our roles.

LOVE it! And you've got some pretty rockin bags. I need a bag intervention.

And yep, church bag is for you next. And if you're lucky, you'll be able to have 2 church bags like me. A bag for all the sacrament meeting distracitons for all 3 kids. Then my other bag with stuff for my primary class. It's totally AWESOME walking into church, in 100 degree weather... wrangling all 3 kids by myself, carrying 2 bags and Coco. I sit down and Shayne looks at me with a smile and says "Hi Babe, how'd it go?" Seriously?!? I've just got to church and I'm already sweating AND I'm the furthest from feeling the spirit right now! ;)

AH! The things we do as Mommies.... and I wouldn't change a bit of it!!
{Sorry, that didn't mean to be a church frustration rant - I totally digg your bags!}
