Spoiled - again!

Hey remember how just a few days ago I was posting about how spoiled this little baby is...??

Well guess what -- he's getting even more spoiled by the day! My work decided to do a surprise baby shower for me and a co-worker Adam (his daughter was born just a few weeks ago)! Wait, I know what you're thinking "didn't your work already get you that awesome co-sleeper?" Well my friend you not only have a great memory but are also correct! But only five people were in on that, and I guess a few more wanted in on the fun.

Can I just say that I have probably not been this surprised by something since Stas proposed. And that was a whopping three and a half years ago! Let me set the scene....

The admins were planning a pizza get-together over lunch for Tuesday (3-9-10). I was on the phone in my cube trying to troubleshoot this really irritating problem that keeps coming up (SharePoint, anyone?). Anyway, I was on the phone with this gal Michelle trying to help her out, while still being totally confused myself. Lunchtime came and everyone was passing by my cube into the conference room. My normal "gang" stopped by to get me, but I insisted I was on the phone and would be there in a bit. I mean really, no one is going to eat all of the pizza that fast, right? Well lots of other people started stopping by and trying to get me to go eat. In my head I was thinking "hello people, some of us are committed to our work!" I even remember hearing Adam walk in and everyone yell "surprise!" How nice, I thought, they are throwing him a party for the baby! Finally I got off the phone; mainly because I had to use the little girls room (thank you baby for invading my bladder's space).

Well when I finally stroll into the conference room I hear a big "SURPRISE!!" What? Me, seriously? Oh, I was so, SO surprised. I couldn't believe the whole thing. There was even a cake and decorations. This was a real party!! They had even contacted Stas without me knowing to have him come (too bad his silly class got in the way!). I was so, SO impressed at all the work that went into the event and totally humbled by how giving my co-workers are.

We are truly blessed!

SOOOO glad there are people up there in PA that are spoiling you and Baby Boy G! There's nothing like all of the sweet attention Baby #1 gets!! I still cannot believe you were that clueless and had no idea the party could have been for you! I guess you really are committed and focused to your work!

{Although, my job TOTALLY suprised me with a shower too... but in order to get me downstairs they set up this fake firing that I was suppose to conduct! I mean... HELLO! You don't do that to an emotional pregnant woman! I felt so bad I was going to have to fire this person!! And then they throw a party in my face?! Good times!}
