Finally, Pennsylvania has joined other considerate and health-conscious states by passing a law banning smoking indoors.Govenor Rendell signed legislation that will ban smoking in most workplaces and public places. On Tuesday, the state Senate voted to approve the measure, under which Philadelphia will be the only city allowed to let its existing ban supercede the state law.
Under the new law, smoking will be limited in most public places, including office buildings, restaurants, and sports arenas.
The ban will go into effect 90 days after Governor Rendell signs it.
I can't wait!!!
